LIVE OAK — The Suwannee and Hamilton County boys soccer programs are in the midst of great seasons. They met Thursday at Paul Langford Stadium and played a competitive match.

MAYO — Hamilton County coach Eugene Jones has high expectations for his Trojans. Despite a losing record heading into the final third of the regular season and some formidable opponents at the top of the district, he wants HCHS to finish on a high note and get back in state playoffs.

MAYO — Trenton used a seven-minute run spanning the first and second halves to regain the lead and control Tuesday night in a battle of undefeated girls basketball teams.

HILLIARD — Branford had two 2-point conversion chances to beat Hilliard but misfired on pass attempts, the last one in overtime, and lost at Hilliard 34-33 in a Region 3-1A Class 1A quarterfinal playoff game Friday.


BRANFORD — Branford will play in a state volleyball semifinal for the first time when Newberry visits today at 2 p.m.


CRAWFORDVILLE — Four minutes into the second half Friday, Suwannee High was on the verge of tying top-seeded Wakulla.

MAYO, Fla. — First-year coach Pedro Resendiz will bring experience to the Lafayette boys soccer program with 28 years of playing time and three years of coaching.
