Dear editor,

All of us understand why the road department and utility companies need to prune trees and other growth near the roads and power lines.

What we don’t understand, is why in some rural areas they leave so much debris that it looks almost like a hurricane has passed.

They have the equipment and the people to pick up and mulch the limbs and trees. Why do they leave so much on our property and under the power lines?

Let’s keep America beautiful by having these people clean up their “messes”.
