To the Lafayette High School Class of 2019:

Congratulations to you and your family as you complete your senior year at Lafayette High School. You are an outstanding senior class and have helped carry on the traditions of Lafayette High School. You are a class filled with academic, athletic and creative talent. You, the senior class of 2019, have served as excellent role models for our underclassmen and have grown into a strong group of young adults ready to take the next step toward your goals and dreams.

As you embark on this new and exciting chapter in your life, you may have mixed emotions. Leaving the comfort and security of LHS to pursue your goals, may leave you unsure of what the future holds. These feelings are a normal part of any major change. The education made available to you through our schools and the dedication on your part have provided you with the necessary tools to reach the next level in your life. There are many paths available: college, vocational/technical school, military, or a number of other career paths. I encourage you to set challenging goals for yourself, keep a strong work ethic, never quit, and always strive to be the best you can be. These are the factors that made you successful in high school and they will make you successful in life.

As we celebrate your graduation from LHS on May 24, I look forward to sharing this special time with you and your families. Please know that you have made your families, school and community proud. Congratulations Class of 2019. You did it!

With sincere best wishes,

Robert Edwards
