There are great events happening in our community every day.

Some are big. Some are small. All are wonderful and help make the Suwannee River Valley better.

We want to know about all of them. We want our readers to know about all of them.

And, so, we need your help.

We encourage our readers and local organizations to share news and events with us so we can, in turn, share those happenings with the entire community.

Of course, there are the annual festivals and we love sharing the news about those marquee events.

However, there are other things that happen week in and week out and we want our readers to know where they can find out what is happening at any given moment.

On our website, www.suwanneedemocrat.com, users can find the Suwannee Valley Events calendar near the bottom of the homepage.

You can enter your event in the calendar on the website and share it with the entire community.

In addition to the online calendar, you can also share your news with the readers of our print edition.

Submit a calendar item by emailing it to nf.editorial@gaflnews.com.

Be sure to include the name of the event, where it will be held, the time and date and a brief description.

If you would rather just drop off the information, please type or print it and bring it to our offices located at 521 Demorest St. SE in Live Oak. You can also mail an item to: Suwannee Democrat, P.O. Box 370, Live Oak, FL 32064.

If you see one of our reporters out at an event, feel free to share your next event with them too. Or an advertising representative. Or an editorial board member — Otha White Sr. or Bruce Kemmerer. All would be willing to help spread the word.

Are you holding a golf tournament and need more entries?

Send it to us.

Hosting a car wash for your organization?

Let us know.

Whether it is a sporting event, a public meeting, a recital, a fundraiser, an exhibition, a public forum, a symposium, seminar, or just something fun to do, people want and need to know what is happening.

The calendar is not the place for sales or promotions, but rather a place to find out things to do.

Whether online or in the print edition of the newspaper, we want to share your events with as many people as possible.

So whether you submit it on the website, email it to us, mail it, or drop it off, we look forward to sharing your information with our readers.
