The opportunity is here for people to get involved.
The Live Oak Community Redevelopment Agency is crafting its vision for the future development of Heritage Square.
But the CRA isn’t developing that vision on its own. Rather, the CRA board and staff along with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., are wanting to know what the community thinks. They want to know what residents would like to see, and not see, at Heritage Square in the years to come.
It is an integral part of the process that Kimley-Horn uses to produce a master plan.
In addition to the CRA, Kimley-Horn has sought input from business owners in Live Oak as well as those at the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce. Also included in that process was community input, to make sure everyone is on the same page and there are no surprises.
Now is the time to share those thoughts and be a part of the process.
The CRA is hosting a community outreach meeting Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber at 201 Ohio Avenue.
Attend. Get involved and share your opinion.
Would you like to see some green space, a small park for instance or maybe a splash pad, included in the master plan? Come let the CRA know.
Want a bike trail to be part of the vision. Come let your voice be heard.
What kind of retail spaces do you think would attract you — and others — to the development? Share those ideas.
Is there a certain type of business that will make you stay away from Heritage Square as it is developed? The CRA wants to know that as well.
Regardless of what you hope to see at Heritage Square, now is the time to let your vision help craft the overall vision.
Come share ideas and hear those of others in attendance in order to help make Heritage Square the best development it can be.
Be involved and let your voice be heard.
