WHITE SPRINGS — A White Springs woman was killed in a crash Sunday night involving a moped.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the wreck, which occurred around 9:20 p.m. Sunday on County Road 25A near SE 160th Place.
According to an FHP report, 29-year-old Princess Dye was traveling north on CR 25A on a moped when it was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Impala that was also heading north.
Dye was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the report. She was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the car, 18-year-old Keyvon Daryl Webb, also of White Springs, was not injured in the wreck.
Charges are pending the result of FHP’s investigation, which includes if alcohol played a role in the crash.
