MAYO — Another year, another successful Little Miss LHS pageant.
The fundraiser for the Lafayette Elementary School PTO consisted of 20 contestants during the Sept. 28 pageant.
Each one of the contestants danced to the songs from the movie Descendants in their Hornet Pride outfits, then showed off their elegant evening gowns as they answered a random question.
“All of the contestants were beautiful and did a great job,” said LES third-grade teacher Sunny Wimberley, who is also the president of the PTO.
There were three divisions in the pageant with Teeny Miss LHS presented to the winner from grades kindergarten through first, the Tiny Miss crown presented to the winner from grades second and third and the Little Miss honor awarded to a girl in the fourth through fifth grades.
In addition to the Teeny, Tiny and Little Miss titles, an attendant is selected from each of the six grade levels in the pageant.
The attendants honored were Carlei Ruff, kindergarten; Lanae Colson, first grade; Keating Land, second grade; Taycee Pridgeon, third grade; Emmalynn Stapleton, fourth grade; and Miley McCray, fifth grade.
This year’s Teeny Miss LHS was Bristol Land.
Copelyn Johnson was crowned Tiny Miss LHS.
And the winner of Little Miss LHS was Brandy Posada.
