WELLBORN — A three-vehicle crash Sunday night sent three people to the hospital in critical condition.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 26-year-old George Green, of McAlpin, was headed west on U.S. Highway 90 around 9 p.m. Sunday in between Wellborn and Suwannee Correctional Institution when his Ford F-250 crossed the center line.

The truck sideswiped a Ford F-150 that was heading east and driven by Wyatt Snelgrove, a 20-year-old from Live Oak, according to the FHP report.

The report states, Green’s truck also collided with a Kia Optima, driven by Savannah Slaughter, also 20 and from Live Oak, before it overturned.

Green, Snelgrove and Slaughter were all airlifted to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville in critical condition.

The crash is still being investigated by FHP and charges are pending that investigation.

U.S. 90 was shut down for several hours Sunday night while crews investigated as well as cleaned up the crash.
