LIVE OAK — The last tribute show for 2019 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is set for Sept. 28 with the outstanding KC & The Sunshine Band and Huey Lewis and The News tribute bands live in the Music Hall.
Two wonderful Jacksonville up and coming artists, Godiva, 16, and Kian Sanchez, 12, will open that night for these awesome bands.
These exciting musicians who travel the entire US and other countries performing have played the SOSMP previously to rave reviews. Paying tribute to both KC & The Sunshine Band and to Huey Lewis and The News, this evening will have the memories swirling.
KC and the Sunshine Band and Huey Lewis and the News were two of the biggest bands of the 70s and 80s! Their huge hits dominated the radio and amazing world tours followed and great songs are still playing on radio and TV today.
This show features the amazing Kip Sweeny as the lead singer in both bands. Kip is a veteran of Disney, Universal and Sea World shows and dancing and singing his way into your heart again this year. These musicians will play all the hits of the two bands along with many of the dance hits of the 70s and 80s.
Fans will be on their feet singing along to the bands’ massive hits such as “Power of Love,” “Get Down tonight,” “If This Is It,” “Boogie Shoes,” “Ghostbusters,” “That’s The way (I Like it),” “Workin’ For A Living,” “Shake Your Booty,” “I Want A New Drug,” “I’m Your Boogie Man,” “Hip To Be Square” and so many more.
Doors to the Music Hall open at 7 p.m. for supper. Opening for the band will be Godiva, 16, and Kian Sanchez, 12, two young artists that will get the audience ready for the main show which starts at 9 p.m.
