LCFD Firefighter of the Year

Isaiah 43:2, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flames shall not consume you.”

MAYO — At its evening training Monday, two Lafayette County firefighters received surprise honors.

Lafayette County Fire Chief JC Lawson and Assistant Chief Daniel Swords awarded Edmund Rudzinski with Firefighter of the Year for 2019, and Josh Mora with Firefighter of the Quarter.

The two firefighters have shown exceptional performance, dedication and commitment to the Lafayette County Fire Department and to their community that is Lafayette County.

Lawson said it is an honor to have dedicated and hard-working volunteers such as Rudzinski and Mora in the department, and working to help those in the community by their service.
