LIVE OAK — The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park’s Music Hall will be filled with lots of great music this weekend when South Florida’s Ricky Valido and his band come to town to play great country Saturday and Jukebox Oldies visits Friday with music from the 50s on. And, each night one of the SOSMP’s talented artists who frequently perform on this stage will open for the band of the evening.
Jukebox Oldies will get the weekend underway Friday night at 8 p.m. with its much-loved music fans love for dancing. Jukebox Oldies love playing their favorite music and entertaining old and new friends. Their motto – “Good Times, Great Oldies…Songs You Can Sing Along to ‘Cause you Know The Words!” Opening for this dynamic band will be Cheyenne Graft, an award-winning country singer from O’Brien, who has played the Suwannee River Jam and performed all across the South.
Saturday night will be a blast with Valido and the Hialeah Hillbillies Band. This Cuban cowboy born and raised in Hialeah is a full-time artist traveling all across Florida to bring his dynamic country music. Ricky loves old country and began playing it at age 8. He’s written and recorded a number of hot country songs you are sure to hear Saturday night such as “Swamp Stomp.” Ricky has played the Music Hall a number of times as well as the Suwannee River Jam. Opening for Valido is Brandon Adams, a St. Augustine country singer. Brandon brings his guitar and just entertains with favorite oldies and some of his unique songs he’s written.
Doors to the Music Hall open at 6 p.m. for dinner Friday and Saturday. Free admission. Opening acts start about 7:30 p.m., bands take the stage at 8 p.m.
