On Friday, April 20, Eusebio Trejo Vega, 38, was taken from his Mayo residence at gunpoint and later left tied to a tree in Taylor County on US 19, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) report. A few minutes later, he was able to free himself and walk back to the highway. The report further stated that Ralph and Judy Thomas of Cross City stopped to assist Vega and notified authorities.

LCSO personnel, along with the Taylor County Sheriff's Office and Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents are investigating and still on the lookout for Michael Marines Hernandes of Gulf Breeze and another unidentified Hispanic male who are facing multiple charges.

According to the LCSO arrest report, both suspects will be charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault with the intent to commit a felony, and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

The incident is still under investigation, according to LCSO.
