INDIANAPOLIS — The Lafayette FFA competed and attended the 91st National FFA Convention in Indianapolis on Oct. 23-27. A record-setting 69,944 members, advisors and guests attended the convention.


MAYO —The Lafayette Elementary School cafeteria received the HealthierUS School Challenge Silver Award.

DOWLING PARK — As part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s County Road 250 bridge replacement project near Dowling Park in Suwannee County, lane closures are scheduled to take place Thursday, Nov. 1, and Friday, Nov. 2, near the bridge for asphalt work.

LIVE OAK — Nearly 2,000 Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative customers are without power Wednesday night following Hurricane Michael blowing through the panhandle and northern Florida and into Georgia.
