Although two motorists came out injury free in a motor vehicle accident in Branford on Friday morning, their vehicles sustained an excess of $9,000 in damages, the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Teresa Carrier of O’ Brien, was traveling north on S.W. Drane Street, when she pulled into the right-of-way at the intersection of S.W. Drane Street and Plant Avenue West, in Branford, striking the front panel of a pickup truck that was traveling west and was driven by Everett Phillips, of Lake City, reports state.

Carrier’s front end of her minivan collided with the drivers’ side quarter panel, dented the drivers’ side door, knocked out the rear end and damaged the drive train of the pickup truck, SCSO Deputy David Taylor said.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Carrier was cited on the scene with obstruction of the right-of-way.
