LIVE OAK — Get those dancing shoes ready for this weekend as a local favorite, Justin Time, will play the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park Music Hall on Friday, and a brand new Tallahassee band, Highway 85, will rock the stage Saturday.
The country/Southern and classic rock band Justin Time played its first gig recently at the SOSMP before a full house. Fans love this band and enjoy its terrific artists. Justin Time is filled with excellent, career musicians Frank Freihofer (lead vocals/guitar songwriter), Live Oak; Nick Kirby (lead vocals/guitar), Live Oak; Matt Johns (vocals/guitar/sax), Lake City; Kenny Chinn (piano), Jacksonville; Carl Manna (drums), Branford; and Jonathan Benefield (bass), Lake City. The band members have played in many different, well-known bands playing country and all genres of music.
Highway 85 of Tallahassee, a well-known country/80s and 90s rock band, will be making it first appearance Saturday. Highway 85 is made up of artists David Bowlin (vocals/guitar), Stan Cutchen (vocal/bass), Jack Roberts (lead guitar), Don May (drums) and Darren Schwartz (keyboard). This band was voted Best Local Band of 2016 and a finalist in the Best Band of 2018/2019, both in Tallahassee. They plan to spend the entire weekend at SOSMP camping, making campground and stage music and are bringing many of their fans with them for a musical weekend.
Doors to the Music Hall open Friday and Saturday for dinner at 6 p.m., music begins at 8 p.m. Free admission.
Thursday night doors open at 5 p.m. for dinner. Karaoke with Ted McMullen begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. Everyone is invited. Sign up upon arrival in order to perform. Admission is free.
