An altercation between a Suwannee County man and his grandfather has led to his arrest, according to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office.
Reports show that while the victim was talking on the telephone on Jan. 3, Chip Dorian Strickland, 28, 16600 C.R. 49, attempted to grab the phone from his victim and in the process, the victim received cuts on both of his forearms.
Strickland told deputies that while he was in his bedroom, his grandfather, who was talking on a telephone, entered the room and told him that he had to leave the residence. Strickland said that he asked to use the phone and then grabbed for it, but grabbed the victim’s arm and the victim snatched his arm away.
According to the SCSO, Strickland told authorities that he did not intend to harm his grandfather, he just wanted to use the telephone.
Strickland was arrested and charged with felony battery (domestic violence).
