LIVE OAK — With some extra time to examine concerns with the project as well as establishing several stipulations, the Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners approved a special permit for a solar farm in southern Suwannee County.

JASPER — The Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners approved a zoning change for Bienville Plantation as well as a permit change for a solar farm at last week’s meeting.

JASPER — A Hamilton Correctional Institution officer was arrested Aug. 13 on charges of receiving payments from an inmate as well as conspiracy to provide drugs to the inmate.
