LIVE OAK — Heritage Park and Gardens is getting ready for Christmas.
The park’s annual Christmas festival is set for Dec. 21, but help is needed to get the park ready for the season.
Volunteers, 5-10 people, are needed to help hang strings of lights on the flower beds in front of the Crapps House at the park.
The Friends of Heritage Park and Gardens are hoping to get the work completed before the end of November and will be happy to schedule around the time the volunteers have.
The Friends also thank the following volunteer groups and individuals for their commitment to transform the home for the holiday events and Dec. 21 home tours: Native Plant Society, Retired Teachers Association, First Federal Bank, Live Oak Artists Guild Quilt Trail painters, Live Oak Garden Club, Explore Art/Marlene Mitchell and Kimberly Glasscock.
The Friends of Heritage Park are also holding its annual $500 raffle in conjunction with the Christmas at Heritage Park, when the drawing will be held. Tickets are $5 — or five for $20 — and are available now. Tickets are on sale at Poole Realty, Daniel Crapps Agency-Lake City, First Federal Bank in Live Oak, Howland’s Building Supply and will be available at the Heritage Park booth at Christmas on the Square.
