Relax, refresh and recharge!

"That will be our theme", said Paul Bertolino, committee coordinator, describing a retreat designed for clergy and their wives from all denominations. "We want this to be a memorable time and the Advent Christian Village (ACV) has all we need to make it happen. This 'Breakaway' will combine seminars, buffets and recreation on the beautiful ACV 1,200 acre campus. We will even provide boat rides on the Suwannee River for our free time on Wednesday afternoon.”

The retreat will bring together the Rev. Dr. Gordon Isaac, the Rev. Dr. James and Mrs. Ellie Gustafson and the Village Senior Pastor, the Rev. Dr. Tim Setzer.

Dr. Isaac is the Berkshire Christian Collage Professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Massachusetts. He was recently named the interim dean of academic studies. He is an expert on reformation studies and was the associate editor of the Luther Digest.

His teaching also takes him to Kenya and India. He holds credentials with the Conservative Congregation Christian Conference (4C) and is a member on two 4C national committees.

Mrs. Gustafson is the author of four Christian novels. The latest being, "The Stones", the life of King David.

Dr. Setzer will officiate at a community wide Ash Wednesday Communion service on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. A complimentary dinner will be served at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night to all registered pastors and their wives.
