LIVE OAK — A candlelight service of carols will be presented at Covenant First Presbyterian Church at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Created by composer Robert Hobby, “Holy Light” is a service of readings and carols meant to take the congregation on a journey from darkness, gradually brightening on the walk from prophecy to the birth of Christ. Readings help to explore deep truths and mysteries about the incarnation, and brilliant carol settings both illuminate the path and allow for vibrant congregational participation.

Bill Poplin will direct the choir for the cantata, accompanied by organ, piano, handbells, brasses and percussion.

There is no admission charge for the service and a reception will follow.

Covenant First Presbyterian is located at 421 White Avenue SE in Live Oak.
