MAYO — Lafayette County’s legislative delegation will meet for its annual hearing next week.
The legislative delegation hearing is set for Monday at 10 a.m. at the Lafayette County Courthouse, which is located at 120 W. Main Street in Mayo.
The county’s legislative delegation includes Sen. Rob Bradley (R-Fleming Island), the chairman of the delegation, and Rep. Jason Shoaf (R-Port St. Joe).
The delegation holds a public hearing each year prior to the start of the session to provide an opportunity for local residents, government officials and other interested parties to present legislative proposals, make funding requests or express opinions on state issues.
“Representative Shoaf and I are honored to represent the residents of Lafayette County in the legislature,” Bradley said in a release. “We look forward to discussing state issues that are of interest to local officials and residents.”
That session convenes Jan. 14, 2020.
