LIVE OAK — Lafayette County is under a wind advisory until Thursday night.
The National Weather Service issued an advisory early Thursday morning, effective at 1:29 a.m. until 9 p.m.
According to the NWS, winds of 10 to 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 mph are expected from the south.
The NWS has issued another wind advisory that covers Suwannee County and Hamilton County as well as the rest of Northwest Florida and Southeast Georgia, starting at noon and lasting through 3 a.m. Friday.
According to that advisory, 15-25 mile per hour winds from the southwest are expected with gusts up to 40 mph.
The MWS warns of unsecured objects being blown around as well as tree limbs falling down and the potential for power outages.
The forecast also calls for up to 1.5 inches of rain throughout the day and overnight.
