MAYO — The Lafayette County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved the hiring of a substitute for collection sites.
After reviewing the application of Matt Robinson, the board approved hiring him for that position at its Oct. 28 meeting.
Also at that meeting, the board agreed to postpone its first November meeting. Scheduled to fall on Veterans Day, the meeting will now take place Tuesday.
The board’s reorganization meeting will take part during that meeting.
Also at the Nov. 12 meeting, the board will discuss the site prep and specifications of the Sims Property with the Florida Forest Service.
A grant for a new 4-H building through the Department of Agriculture was unanimously approved by the board in the amount of $400,000. This grant will be used to build a new agricultural structured building for the 4-H and agriculture programs in Lafayette County.
