The White Springs Public Library

WHITE SPRINGS — The White Springs Library’s children’s book club, the Beastly Book Club, will read a book that “will make you laugh until spicy salsa comes out of your nose.”

The September selection for the book club, which covers everything from picture books to chapter books for children, ages 8-12, is “Dragons love tacos.”

The book club meets on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and craft supplies, snacks and books to check out and take home are all provided.

Also in September, the White Springs library will replace anybody’s lost library card for free as part of National Library Card Sign-up Month.

On Sept. 17, free copies of the U.S. Constitution will be handed out at the library while supplies last. Sept. 17 is Constitution Day.

Master Gardners will be at the library every Monday, beginning Sept. 9, from 1-3 p.m. to provide gardening tips as well as allowing patrons to check out seeds.

After the Beastly Book Club meets, the library has Maker-Space time scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays for children to play with the educational toys. During September, the Dash and Dot robots will be at the library to help teach coding.

The Teen Anime Club meets at 4 p.m. Wednesdays for K-Pop, crafts, popcorn and anime.

Toddler storytime is every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and includes stories, crafts and activities. On Sept. 19, story time will include a special event — Monster Reads.

The library also provides adult coloring sheets every weekday from 1-6 p.m. Pencils and markers are also provided.
