City Park lighting

Snowmen were part of the decorations unveiled at the annual park lighting ceremony last weekend at Jasper's City Park.

JASPER — It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Jasper.

On Nov. 23, the Christmas lights in the City Park were unveiled in the annual park lighting ceremony.

Many community members attended the lighting, which revealed candy canes, snowmen, a nativity scene, and scenes like a winter wonderland in downtown Jasper.

The lights were turned on at 6 p.m., which brought life to the park.

In attendance were members of the Jasper City Council, including Chairman Jay Daigle. The Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners were also represented by William Mitchell.
