BELLVILLE, Fla. — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Department of Law Enforcement are investigating after the body of a Bellville man was found Monday morning.
According to FDLE, the body of 30-year-old Christopher Lamar Tumblin, of Bellville, was found around 7:30 a.m. Monday in his vehicle, which had been wrecked, along NW 23rd Blvd. in western Hamilton County.
Tumblin’s death is viewed as suspicious with the HCSO and FDLE currently investigating.
It is reported that several rounds were located in the drivers side of the vehicle.
Tumblin was hit with 3 rounds to which was the cause of death according to the ME Report.
FDLE is conducting forensic testing on the vehicle and analyzing the rounds that were found in this case.
The Florida Highway Patrol conducted an investigation and performed a traffic crash reconstruction of the crash that appears to have occurred with Tumblin’s vehicle.
It is unknown at this time if there were any other occupants of the vehicle at the time of the accident, Sheriff Harrell Reid said.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission had a dog on scene performing an article search as part of the investigation Monday as well.
