LIVE OAK — There is great music coming up Valentine’s weekend at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.
The weekend begins with The RVillage 2010 Rally, which runs Wednesday through Sunday, bringing hundreds and hundreds of RVers from all across America for this second RVillage Rally here at SOSMP with a huge lineup of seminars, entertainment radio and TV personalities and much more. On Thursday night, it’s Karaoke with Ted McMullen, followed by Wicked Truth Band on Friday night and Hard Times Band on Saturday night, both in the Music Hall.
Karaoke is from 7-10 p.m. every Thursday in the Music Hall. Come out, bring your own CD with your music or Georgie might just have it in her treasure trove of music.
Friday night, it’s Wicked Truth Band bringing great memories of way back when in the world of rock music. It’s the band’s first time at the SOSMP so come on out and enjoy. Opening for this band is Godiva, 16, of Jacksonville. If you already know Godiva, she is a spectacular singer with a stage presence far beyond her young age. This don’t miss event begins at 7:30 p.m. with Godiva and 8 p.m. for the band.
On Saturday night, it’s Hard Times Band getting the audience out on that dance floor and showing off their moves. A newcomer to SOSMP becoming a regular, Hard Times Band brings country and Southern rock and other great dancing music. Opening for Hard Times Band will be Katie O, an up and coming 14-year-old country singer/Nashville recording artist from Jacksonville. This young lady will make fans with her first song.
Doors to the Music Hall open at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, bands take the stage at 8 p.m., artists opening for bands take the stage about 7:30 p.m. Doors open for dinner at 6 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Thursday night karaoke with Ted McMullen takes place from 7-10 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. on Thursdays. Free admission to the Music Hall Thursday – Saturday.
