BRANFORD — Gentle Carousel’s therapy horses will visit Branford next week.

Therapy horses Magic and Moonshadow will share their love of reading at Hatch Park at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in an event hosted by the Branford Public Library.

In other July events, the library is hosting an astronaut training day July 23, starting at 10:30 a.m.

The Branford Volunteer Fire Department will be providing a wet day at Hatch Park on July 25 at 10:30 a.m. Those attending should bring a swimsuit and towel.

The library is also hosting a “Potions & Wands Class” at 2 p.m. July 31. To reserve a spot in the class, call 386-935-1556.

The library’s Book Club meets July 26 at 11 a.m. to discuss a pair of books, “The Broken Road” by Richard Paul Evans and “Same Kind of Different as Me” by Denver Moore and Ron Hall. Book Club members can choose to read one or both books. Both will be discussed at the meeting.
