The third annual Daddy-Daughter Dance is set for Feb. 1.

MAYO — To kick off February, Lafayette County will be dressed in its best.

The Alpha Delta Kappa’s third annual Daddy-Daughter Dance is set for Feb. 1 at the Alton Church of God from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

This year’s event is entitled “Ties and Tiaras.”

The dance is for fathers and daughters of all ages and ADK is hoping to see everyone from youth to adult daughters with their fathers join for a night of fun.

In addition to refreshments (finger foods), each father-daughter group also receives a free 4x6 photo.

Organizers said they expect the dance to continue to grow after having 175 attend last year’s event.

The dance raises funds for ADK which is used for scholarships for high school seniors and needy families in the community.

Tickets for the dance are $20 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter. At the door, tickets will be $25 per couple.
