The Crossroads Fire Department is hosting a Christmas event from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 13.

JENNINGS — The Crossroads Fire Department will turn into a winter wonderland next weekend.

The fire department event is set for 6-9 p.m. Dec. 13.

There will be hot chocolate and coffee available to go with cookies as children visit with Santa Claus and his elves.

Smokey the Bear will also be making his appearance to this firefighting Christmas special.

Professional photographs will also be available for children and their families with Santa.

The Crossroads Fire Department also is promising a very special surprise scene to be seen at the event.

In addition to the fire department, other area agencies will also be on hand, including the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Forest Service, Hamilton County EMS and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners provided support for the event as well as FWC, FFS and the volunteers at the fire departments.
