LIVE OAK — The new wedding pavilion at Heritage Park & Gardens will be finished completely thanks to the approval of funding from the Live Oak Community Redevelopment Agency board.
At a short meeting July 23, the board approved funding $7,325 to finish the pavilion with electrical service, outdoor fans and light fixtures.
The board had approved $15,000 for work at the park in the current year’s budget and the $7,325 will finish that budgeted amount. The other $7,675 was a reimbursement on a project that replaced the roof on the work shed at the property.
According to Gabrielle Redfern, the CRA director, the pavilion that was constructed through grant funding obtained by the Suwannee Parks & Recreation Department was missing those features due to a higher than expected cost on the pavilion’s roof.
“This will make the pavilion whole,” Redfern said, adding that if the project goes over its projected cost of $8,600 that Suwannee Parks & Rec will be responsible for that.
The funding was unanimously approved.
