MAYO — More than 30 Lafayette County Youth participated in the 2019 4-H Holiday Bake-off.
Dishes for the Bake-off ranged from ham and turkey sliders to cupcakes and Christmas Candy. Submissions were judged on taste, presentation and holiday festiveness.
Five judges from the community had the difficult task of narrowing the field down to one winner, who was Kellen Clark with her Santa’s Hat Cupcake made with a cupcake brownie topped with whipped cream and a strawberry. She was awarded a three foot golden spoon for her efforts.
All recipes are being compiled in a holiday cookbook for 4-H members.
