MAYO — The leadership of the Lafayette County Board of County Commissioners will look familiar for the next year.
At its Nov. 12 reorganization meeting, the board unanimously approved Anthony Adams remaining as board chairman with Lance Lamb continuing to serve as vice chair.
Lamb was absent from the meeting due to an illness.
In addition to Adams and Lamb serving as the head of the board, all of the commissioners’ appointments on other boards were also reaffirmed to those respective positions.
During the reorganization meeting, the board also unanimously reaffirmed the county employees, including the department heads Marcus Calhoun, Scott Sadler, Robert Hinkle, Marty Tompkins and Shawn Jackson.
All professional services contracts, including legal, audit and construction were approved unanimously. The four engineering contracts currently in place were reaffirmed unanimously as well.
Following the reorganization meeting, the board unanimously approved a request from the Town of Mayo to place a “Welcome to Mayo” sign on county property in front of the Florida Department of Health - Lafayette County off U.S. Highway 27.
