LIVE OAK — The Live Oak Artists Guild’s Autumn Artfest returns to the Suwannee River Regional Library’s Live Oak branch in September.

Applications for the annual fine arts exhibit will be accepted through Aug. 19.

All artists, age 18 or older, are eligible and are invited to submit an application. Entry fee is $25 for Artists Guild members and $35 for non-members.

A photo or digital image of the artwork must be submitted with the application, which is available at The Frame Shop & Gallery and the Live Oak library. Artists may also find the application on the Artists Guild’s blog,

If artists have questions, they should contact Suzanne Marcil, Artfest chairperson, at 386-362-7308 and leave a message.

The total amount of awards and prizes will be determined by the number of entries and donations received, but a minimum of $1,000 will be awarded.

Artwork selected for the awards will be exhibited at a “Featured Exhibition” at the library from Sept. 23 through Oct. 4. That follows the Artfest’s complete exhibition at the library, which runs Sept. 9-20.

The opening reception for this year’s Artfest is scheduled for Sept. 6 from 5-7 p.m.
