JASPER — Adults can stop by the Jasper Public Library later this month for a pot painting class.

The library encourages pre-registration for the class, in order to ensure enough pots, by calling 386-792-2285. The class is free.

During the class, adults may pick one of the designs offered by the library or make their own, and then paint a plant pot. The library will also provide a bag of seeds to fill the beautiful pots with beautiful flowers.

The Jasper Library will host Beth Kerr, the 4-H/FCS agent at the UF/IFAS Hamilton County Extension Office, on July 18 from 1-2 p.m. for “Bug Out!”

The library’s Book Club meets July 29 at 6 p.m. to discuss Claire Cook’s “Summer Blowout.”

On Mondays, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., the library hosts Bright Star Pre-School story time with Meteor Movie Theater set for Mondays from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

The library’s Universe of Stories Summer Program activities are Wednesdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and the Rock-It Teens meet on Wednesdays from 12:20-1:30 p.m.

The library also encourages readers, 18 and above, to participate in the summer reading bingo. They may choose from the library’s selection of books that match the bingo theme or one of their own. A drawing will be held from the completed bingo cards turned in for a nice prize. See the front desk for a playing card and instructions.

The quilting friends meet at the library on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. until noon. Those attending should bring their own materials and share ideas in the art of quilting.
