SHS students to present, ‘Oklahoma!’
The Suwannee High School Theater Department is slated to perform for their spring musical, a production of the timeless classic, “Oklahoma!”. Community performances are today, March 28, at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. at SHS. Admission is $7. Tickets will be available at the door. “I’m excited. I think it’s going to be a fun show. It’s different from anything we’ve done before,” said SHS drama teacher Emily Bass.
BHS presents 'A Night with the Stars'
The Branford High School Drama Program is proud to present “A Night with the Stars”, today, March 28, at 7 p.m. The show features 20-30 songs and scenes by entertainers of the past including Marilyn Monroe, Barbara Streisand, Humphrey Bogart, Judy Garland, Stevie Nicks and many more. “We want the community to have a fun and inexpensive night out with their families,” said BHS Drama teacher Dan Taylor. “The production stems from an assignment to research and present information and themes of great entertainers of the past.” Dinner will be from 5:30 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Admission is $2 per adult and $1 per student at BHS.
16th Arc Lawn Mower Race
John’s Lawn Equipment Open House
Rain out date is April 5
The Arc North Florida is scheduled to hold its 16th Annual Lawnmower Race on Saturday, March 29, at John’s Lawn Equipment in Live Oak. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. with registration, followed by the race at 10 a.m. There is a 60 percent chance of rain Saturday. If the event is rained out, it will be held on April 5 at 10 a.m., same location.
