Live Oak —
A Live Oak woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated battery after a 911 hang-up call led to the discovery of a man who had been stabbed by his wife, according to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a SCSO report, on Monday, March 17, at approximately 10 p.m., Deputy Scott Senea responded to a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival at 12708 72nd Trail, Live Oak, the deputy observed a black male at the front door who identified himself as Claude Bowman.
Bowman told Senea his wife just “wigged out for no reason and stabbed him.” Senea observed Bowman suffered a knife wound in his right upper chest and in his right leg, upper thigh. Senea then located his wife, Shontovea Stacy Bowman, 37, same address, in the master bedroom of the home. Shontovea Bowman stated her husband has a girlfriend. Senea observed a small fresh laceration on her right ring finger, but rescue advised no medical attention needed.
Senea then placed Shontovea Bowman under arrest and was transported to the Suwannee County Jail without further incident and charged with aggravated battery.
Claude Bowman was transported to Shands Live Oak Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
