7 qualify for 3 council seats in White Springs-Election is April 22

Jasper — The town of White Springs will be holding an election on Tuesday, April 22, for three seats on the town council.

The three council seats up for election are currently held by Helen Miller, Walter McKenzie and Richard Marshall. Qualifying ended at noon on Tuesday, March 18, and there were seven people who successfully qualified; C.E. (Woody) Woodard, Richard Marshall, Walter McKenzie, Willie Jefferson, Joe Griffin, Helen Miller and Spencer Lofton.

Books will close for this election on Monday, March 24, and the polls will open for voting on April 22.
