Mayo woman wins $500,000 from scratch-off ticket

Live Oak —

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Annette Blake, 52, of Mayo, claimed a $500,000 top prize in the 20X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. She purchased her winning ticket from Mayo Food Mart, located at 133 West Main Street in Mayo.

The $5 game, 20X THE CASH, offers top prizes of $500,000 and more than six million winning tickets. Six of the eleven top prizes remain to be won. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-4.24.

Last month, the Florida Lottery launched 5X THE CASH, 10X THE CASH, 20X THE CASH and 50X THE CASH Scratch-Off games to join its most popular multiplier-themed game, 100X THE CASH. The CASH MULTIPLIER family of Scratch-Off games ranges in price from $1 to $25, and offers millions of dollars in instant-win prizes or a chance to win prizes up to $50,000 in a limited-time second chance promotion. Players can enter any non-winning CASH MULTIPLIER tickets into the “$50,000 Cash Second Chance Promotion” on the Lottery’s website. For more information about these games and the second chance promotion, visit www.flalottery.com.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 60 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $575 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2012-13.
