Live Oak City Council meeting agenda for March 11, 2014

Live Oak —

 (Prior to commencing the city council meeting, the 2nd public hearing for the CDBG grant will be held.) 

1) Invocation 

2) Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag 

3) Approval of the February 11th and February 25th council meeting minutes 

4) Mayor Garth R. Nobles, Jr. – Matters of the City 

1) Recommend the appointment of Jason Puckett to serve as Tenant Commission of the Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority of the City of Live Oak 

5) City Clerk – John Gill 

1) Discussion with possible Council action, the final reading of Ordinance 1353. An ordinance amending the City Charter to allow for an Elected Police Chief and to authorize the Supervisor of Elections to place said item on the May 6, 2014 ballot. 

2) Discussion with possible Council action, the final reading of Ordinance 1354. An ordinance amending the City Charter to allow for a City Manager form of government and to authorize the Supervisor of Elections to place said item on the May 6, 2014 ballot. 

6) City Administrator – Kerry Waldron 

1) Discussion with possible Council action approving Resolutions 14-01, 14-02, 14-03, and 14-04 as they pertain to the FY 2013 Florida Small Cities CDBG application 

2) Approval of Employee status 

7) Councilman Jacob Grantham – Matters pertaining to the Street Department Committee 

1) No matters to discuss 

8) Councilman Keith Mixon– Matters pertaining to the Gas, Water and Sewer Committee 

1) No matters to discuss

9) Councilman Bennie Thomas – Matters pertaining to the Fire Department Committee 

1) No matters to discuss 

10)Councilman John Yulee – Matters pertaining to the Law Enforcement Committee 

1) No matter to discuss 

11)Councilman Adam Prins – Matters pertaining to Administrative and Finance Committee 

1) Discussion with possible Council action, the first reading of Ordinance 1355. An ordinance amending section 78-37 of the code of ordinance for delinquent utility accounts 

2) Discussion with possible Council action, the first reading of Ordinance 1356. An ordinance amending Ordinance 1346 mortgage in default. 

3) Discussion with possible Council action on the recommendation from the Administrative and Finance Committee to modify section 16 of the policy and procedure manual relating to accrued paid-time-off (PTO) 

12) Public Comments
