Rant & Rave for March 7, 2014

Live Oak —

Why shouldn't the police chief be an elected position? The sheriff is he was not appointed by a coouncil. I believe it makes hiself and employees more accountable to the citizens. It is time for a change in thinking and in the way things are run. The city needs better " Policeing and not just for some areas, but all" to do this means a change.

****

Do you mean to tell me Judges could be crooks too? Check the record to see how many local politicians he represented.

****

How in the world does the property appraiser justify the assessments. 1 ten acre parcel with no improvements is assessed at 25,000 while mine down the street, in the same subdivision, at ten acres with no improvements is assessed at 44,000. What the heck? There is another down the road, same acreage, no improvements but owned by a bank (foreclosure probably) and assessed at less than $300.

****

I am calling for a boycott of the Rant and Rave column. Do it and see how long the Democrat newspaper stays in business. All that paper does is print all the news not fit to read.

****

I have a Rave for Kyle Kirby, Louis Bell, Dwyane Mobley and Andy Harrell. I want to thank them for coaching and teaching my child soccer and team work this Season with the Suwannee County Rec. These big, LOUD, tough men are some of the most kind hearted and caring people I've ever met. If your child has a chance to be coached by one or all of these great Coaches take that opportunity, you will not regret it!
