HamCo EMS hires new ass’t director

Jasper — Recently hired Hamilton County EMS Assistant Director Mac Leggett was introduced to the county commissioners at their Dec. 3 board meeting by Emergency Management Director Henry Land.

“I believe he’ll do a great, great job,” said Land. “It’s already been exciting just the past week that he’s been here and the things we’ve been able to discuss and the directions that we want to go. So, I’m very excited about the opportunity to work with Mr. Leggett.”

Leggett said, “We’ve got some interesting things that we’re looking at, and trying to improve the service. I’ve got a few years to draw on,” he added. “I’ve been in EMS for about 30 years.”
