4-way stop on Helvenston to begin Monday

Live Oak —

After much debate over the last couple of months, the covers will be lifted off the stop signs at the intersection of Helvenston Street and Railroad Avenue and it will become a four-way stop beginning Monday.

Live Oak Public Works Director Brent Whitman said his team is doing everything possible to educate the public of this move to a four-way stop.

“We placed message boards out there on Tuesday letting people know of the change,” Whitman said.

The stop signs have been in place for quite sometime, however, they have been covered and will remain that way until the unveiling on Monday.

The four-way stop at the intersection of Helvenston Street and Railroad Avenue will become official Monday.
