Last weekend of live music before the Suwannee River Jam April 30 - May 3

Live Oak —

It’s the week before The Suwannee River Jam begins at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) at Live Oak and the music is already calling. And this weekend’s bands are going to be rattling the rafters all weekend. Steven Flowers Band of Jacksonville/Gainesville, possibly one of the best bands to come on the North Florida music scene in a long time, will kick the weekend off Friday, April 25. Saturday night longtime and popular band the Chris Tyler Band also of Jacksonville will hold down the SOSMP stage with it’s rockin’ country sound.
The Steven Flowers Band is a 5-piece group amazing audiences since 2012. Steven Flowers Band is making its first appearance at the SOSMP since the band graciously played during the Suwannee River Flood Jam several years ago were they were a big hit with the crowd. Opening for national acts like Jana Kramer, Trailer Choir and Blackjack Billy, the band has played to packed shows in some of the biggest venues in North Florida. This band delivers a high energy, aggressive show by blending country and southern rock redefining the country genre. Whether you like it loud or traditional, this band will leave you wanting more. Get your dancing shoes ready - you’re going to need them when The Steven Flowers Band comes to the SOSMP this Friday, April 25. Members are Steven Flowers, Lou Neumann, Nick Pregony, Shane Estes and Andy Boemig.
The Chris Tyler Band has been playing for years all over the North Florida and Jacksonville area. The band, which recently released a CD, has played frequently at The SOSMP. Chris Tyler is an avid musician/radio DJ who began playing music at a very young age. He’s played every type music but fell in love with country which he continues to play today. Chris handles vocals in the band along with Charlie Dennis - guitar/banjo, RJ Wilson - keys, Josh Berlin - drums, Mike “Vinnie” Torelli - lead guitar/vocals and Woodie Berlin - bass/vocals. This band plays country that’s easy to listen to or that will get you out on that dance floor with your sweetie to show off your moves.
