Rant & Rave for March 21, 2014

Live Oak —

A big "thanks" goes out to whoever is responsible for the new striping on CR 49 from 90 south. The old, faded lines, put large trucks and lack of any traffic law enforcement made this stretch of roadway extremely hazardous, especially at night. At least people can see where the middle of the road is, and perhaps they can stay on their side and stop "riding" the center line. Next, maybe motorists can learn to dim lights when approaching other vehicles at night, and even put lights and tags on trailers when hauling in the dark!

Can Mr. Sommers, Mr. Harris, and the County Commissioner I voted for Mr. Wainwright please answer my question. Is it the County's business or interest to jeopardize the jobs held by Suwannee County Citizens who currently work for private ambulance services by now getting Suwannee County into a long held private business field. How can we feed our families and pay our taxes when YOU under-cut private business with a government funded no-oversight ambulance transport. You get another poorly run county department, and WE get to look for another job after our businesses are FORCED to leave Suwannee County. Mr. Sommers, Harris, and Wainwright I think some jobs just came open in the Crimea. Give Putin a call, its #2 on your cell phones.

Why is it that are county fair has gotten so boring in the past few years? We used to have good entertainment such as country music stars, magicians like Ron Dimond, and fairly decent rides. Now they offer very few rides and the some old demolition derby every year. Lets change it up and make our county fair something fun for the families and children of Suwannee County to go to. If the current fair board isn't willing to do this I say lets get some new fresh bodies in there that are willing to.
