Rant & Rave for April 4, 2014

Live Oak —

gas is 3.34in valdosta, we-re being ripped off what would you call it?

Are you kidding? How does SRWMD come off telling me when I can and cannot water my lawn while pivot irrigation systems continue to be installed all over the county. Who are they to make and implement policies like this? If they are truly concerned with the water table, they need to stop the installation of those systems that run rain or shine.

Nothing as nice as watching a nuisance dog running loose with her litter, tearing up trash, hassling folks etc. until the pups get run over one by one. Leash laws, NOW! Hefty fines to sorry pet owners to pay for & justify animal control officers paycheck. Loose dogs are a serious problem.

Great that they did get around to painting new lines on 49 and 137, But There is still a Bad problem with standing water in bad downfalls!! Run a Grader to cut the ground at least level to the roads to let the water run off the roads, just drive down 49 south from 252 on a rain drenched night to see for your self thanks ,pitty if someone gets hurt from the water!!!

In response to the R&R from March 21st about the county fair. As a member of the current fair board I would ask anyone that is concerned or disappointed by the fair to please come and help us. Everyone on the board has a full time job and we are doing the best we can with the resources we have.

Lately many family reunion announcements state "all relatives & decedents are invited." Please cover these with a reporter & photographer . It would interesting to know how many dead people show up.

My 76 year old mother was in a auto accident on HWY 129 and was in shock the Live Oak Police Department and the Fire and Rescue from Duval really went the extra mile to take care of my mother and I want to give a Big Thanks to Ofc Mouton and all the boys from the fire house for going above and beyond and taking her ice cream to the fire house they joked to calm her down and said lets have an ice cream party right here you guys are awesome. I am so proud of how they handle such a tough situation. I just want to say God Bless you every one and keep up the good work!!!! We will never forget your kindness.
