Hutcherson honored for 30 years of service to White Springs

Jasper — At the Dec. 10 meeting of the White Springs Town Council, Town Manager Bob Farley had the honor of presenting an appreciation plaque to Kenneth Hutcherson, who has worked for the town for the last 30 years doing a variety of different jobs.

“Each of us need to reflect 30 years ago,” said Farley. “Where were you 30 years ago? I know some of you weren’t even thought of,” he added. “Thirty years is a long time,” he said to Hutcherson.

Farley then presented the plaque to Hutcherson for 30 years of outstanding service to the town of White Springs.

Mayor Helen Miller said, “We thank you for the 30 years and we look forward to...”, when she was interrupted by councilman Rhett Bullard, who interjected, “The next 30 years,” which was met by gentle laughter from all in attendance.
