Home destroyed by fire Tuesday

Live Oak — Suwannee County Fire/Rescue responded to a call of a double wide mobile home that was consumed with fire Tuesday afternoon, according to Public Safety Director James Sommers.

According to a SCFR report from Sommers, on Wednesday at approximately 1:20 p.m., SCFR was dispatched to 93rd Road in reference to a structure fire. At 1:38 p.m., units from Stations 2, 1, 5, and volunteer Stations 51 and 43 arrived to find a double wide mobile home that was fully involved. Occupants were not home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and is under investigation by SCFR and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The structure was determined to be a total loss.

The owner of the residence is unknown at this time.
