Live Oak —
Two drivers and an 11-year-old passenger were injured in a wreck early Friday morning in front of Walmart in Live Oak, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to a FHP report, on Friday at approximately 9:57 a.m., Mary Nadine Hagin, 65, Sneads, Florida, was driving a 2003 Toyota Matrix and was traveling southbound on US 129 in a turn lane to turn left onto 70th Street next to Walmart. Lori Elena Hughes, 24, Live Oak, was traveling northbound in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala on US 129 in the inside lane. Hagin turned left in an attempt to travel onto 70th Street and traveled into the direct path of the Impala. Hughes’ vehicle struck the front of Hagin’s Matrix.
Both drivers were transported to Shands Live Oak Regional Medical Center for treatment. Hagin’s passenger, Takoda Hagin, 11, sustained injuries and was also transported to Shands Live Oak Regional Medical Center. Mary Hagin’s second passenger, Mason Hagin, 37, was not injured.
Mary Hagin was charged with failure to yield right of way to oncoming traffic. Hughes was charged for not wearing a seatbelt.
