Morning update for Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Live Oak — Weather:

  • Tuesday A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 103. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

     
  • Tuesday Night A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Calm wind.

Traffic:

HAMILTON COUNTY:

 

Interstate 75  Daytime lane closures for southbound traffic from the Georgia line to north of State Road 6 Monday through Thursday for placing the final layer of asphalt. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures.  No work is allowed Friday through Sunday.

SUWANNEE COUNTY:

 

State Road 51  Daytime lane closures between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and after 4 p.m. south of Live Oak to upgrade the school zone signals.

 

U.S. 27 Possible daytime lane closures between Southwest Wideman Street and 83rd Place in Branford to build a sidewalk.

 

U.S. 129  Daytime lane closures Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from the southern city limits of Live Oak to U.S. 90 to take roadway samples in preparation for future resurfacing. In the event of rain, the work will take place on Thursday.
